Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 June 2026
These terms govern use of the hosted Elliot Cloud service (
api.elliot-cloud.com). The Elliot software itself is open source under the MIT License; self-hosting is governed by that license, not these terms. This document is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed by legal counsel before you rely on it for a production service or a connector-directory submission.
1. Acceptance
By connecting to or using Elliot Cloud, you agree to these terms. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
2. The service
Elliot Cloud turns APIs and databases into agent-ready MCP tools and provides observability for agent tool calls. You connect an agent (such as Claude) over MCP and authorise it to act on your behalf within the scope you grant.
3. Your responsibilities
- Authorisation. Only connect data sources and credentials you are entitled to use. You are responsible for the APIs, databases, and secrets you configure.
- Acceptable use. Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, attack or overload systems, exfiltrate data you don't have rights to, or circumvent the platform's security controls.
- Account security. Keep your credentials and connected-agent grants under your control; revoke any agent you no longer trust.
4. Credentials and data
Secrets you store are encrypted at rest and resolved only at tool-call time. You remain the owner and controller of your connector definitions and the upstream data they reach. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may change, suspend, or discontinue features. For a guaranteed environment, self-host the open-source release.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the service.
7. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and revoke connected agents from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to protect the service and its users.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
